Mayur Bajaj

Founder & CEO

Mayur Bajaj embodies all the characteristics of a perfect leader. He is charismatic, diligent and strong-willed. He’s an entrepreneur at heart and unafraid to take risks. Mayur established Splash Power in 2011. He holds an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication and has since developed a rich experience in the business field, having worked over 24 years in various industries and startups.

His keen eye for the future and ingenuous approach to this industry, aided with his prolific background in technology have resulted in cutting edge high precision GIS tools and techniques for rapid identification and evaluation of hydro power potential.

Kannan Nallathambi

CTO/Pumped Storage Expert

Kannan Nallathambi has played a vital role in enabling Splash Power to emerge as an industry leader. His exemplary leadership has also resulted in building a highly competent tech team of hydro professionals at Splash Power.

Kannan’s prior work features highly prestigious positions at Tata Power. He holds a Masters in Technology in Power Electronics (1982) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical (1979), and has been a visiting faculty for ‘CO2 Research & Green Technologies’ at VIT Vellore between 2017 & 2019.

Kjell Heggelund (Norway)

Project Manager, Evaluator & Pumped Storage Expert

Kjell Heggelund brings with him a rich repetoire of experience in the field of hydropower investment opportunities and has worked on projects in more than twenty-eight countries, with an expertise that remains truly unmatched in the field of hydropower.

Kjell holds a Master in Science degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, from NTNU, Trondheim (1969), and has been associated with prestigious projects and organisations, globally.

Yashwant S Dandekar

Chief Designer

Having been in the industry for over forty-years, Yashwant joined Splash Power in 2020 and has since been responsible for preparing PFRs for self-identified 2,100 MW and 1,500 MW PSH in Maharashtra, India. He has also reviewed FRs of six large pumped storage schemes in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Holding degrees in M.E Civil (Water Resources Development with a Specialisation in Hydro Power Engineering) from IIT Roorkee (1976) and a B.E (Civil) from Shivaji University (1968), Yashwant brings with him rich expereince from the field.

He retired as the Chief Civil Designer from Tata Consulting Engineers, where he carried out design, engineering, strengthening and optimisation of several hydro plants in India and abroad.

Sudhir Khoat

Hydro Construction Expert

Equipped with over fifty-four years of unparelleled experience in construction engineering, Sudhir joined Splash Power in 2020 as a consultant on the development of new hydro projects. He also reviews construction methodology for self-identified PSH proposals.

With an education comprising a Masters in Engineering degree in Structural Dynamics from IIT Roorkee (1979), PG Diploma in Earthquake Engineering from IIT Roorkee (1976), and a BE Civil from Nagpur University (1967), Sudhir has successfully handled and completed major civil projects in government organisations in India as well as coveted companies globally.

Sydney Lobo

Environment Safety

As the Head of Environmental Safety, Sydney handles the EAI part of the pre-feasibility of self-identified PSH projects in Maharashtra and Gujarat, India.

With an MS in Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA (1993) and a BE Civil Engineering from K.E.S Engineering College, Mumbai, India (1990), Sydney’s passion for the environment has translated into his work as an energy consultant for startups. Prior to this, he worked at The Tata Power Company Limited with a cumulative experience of twenty-five years in the energy sector. Holding three patents in development of new technologies, he has authored a number of research papers and publications. He is also on board the prestigious Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute (SPRERI).
